12 Nov, 2011 - Sideshow Valley released

For the past year I've been working on a little project called Sideshow Valley.  It's a musical that I co-wrote with Charlie Thomson from Brisbane Hip Hop outfit The Winnie Coopers...yes, that's right...a musical.  However, it's not like a regular musical, this one's actually been produced as a low budget indie film with the talented students of the Music Industry College.  Put it this way, if you hate musicals (like I do), then this is probably the musical for you.

Sideshow Valley was screened to a thrilled audience last night at the Metro Arts Cinema in Brisbane.  Check out the trailer here, DVD's are available from the Music Industry College.

21 Sep, 2011 - Recording Le Cheile

Recently I teamed up with young Brisbane folk group Le Cheile to record a couple of singles.  Their single "Monkey Feet" made it onto the Brisbane Sounds compilation CD which will be heard by many important sets of ears.  Well done guys, I look foward to working with you again!

10 June, 2011 - Recording Bixy Canyon's EP

Over the Easter long weekend, I hunkered down with young Brisbane band rock band Bixby Canyon to record their self titled EP.  I also mixed some extra tracks that were recorded at Dogget St Studios.  The lads did a great job and they've got big plans for touring and gigging this year.  Have a listen to the EP here.

    

15 May, 2011 - Mixing for Cameron Tanner's new EP

Recently I had the honour of mixing Cameron Tanner's new EP "Out Of Nowhere".  The tracks were superbly recorded by Stephen Bartlett at Docking Station Studios, and mastered by Dave Neil at Modern Mastering.  Have a listen to the finished product here.

Jan 5, 2011 - Session guitar for Alan Boyle

Recently I helped Alan Boyle with his new record by laying down some guitar tracks at Applewood with award winning producer Magoo.  The songs are sounding incredible and I can't wait to hear the final mixes!

   

6 Dec, 2010 - Another Windup Dolls Cameo

This is my second Cameo in a Windup Dolls music video.  Much of the live footage from this video was shot during a short tour of rural Queensland.  Love playing with these guys and Rach is the ultimate rock chick front woman!  Watch the music video (produced by Jason Millhouse) for Prisoner here.

Feb 7, 2010 - I'm published!

For those geeks who read Music Technology Magazine you may have noticed my contribution to an article in issue 73.  AT Magazine offered readers the chance to remix a project recorded by producer Chris Vallejo, owner of Linear Recording Studio.  With over a hundred respondents, I'm pretty chuffed that my mix and article were one of a dozen or so chosen to be published as examples of how differently a mix can be approached.
